DREAMERIE

Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-19  ·  Version: 7

In brief: Dreamerie reads your sleep records on your device to time the audio. In the App Store app, they never leave your device. It also reads your overnight steps, only to know whether you got up, and we never receive them. We share none of it, and we never sell it.

Published by Forge8 LLC, maker of Dreamerie, this policy covers consumer health data as Washington’s My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) defines it. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and covers Dreamerie, the app on the App Store, and our TestFlight testing program. Dreamerie Beta, our TestFlight app for testers, has its own Testing Program Privacy Notice.

What we collect, and why

Sleep records, read on your device. With your permission, Dreamerie reads your sleep records from Apple Health for the hours around a listening session. The app uses them on your device to time the audio fade (the Auto sleep timer), to offer to pick up where you fell asleep, and to show you your own nights. In the App Store app, they never leave your device, and we never receive them. In Dreamerie Beta they stay on the device too, and we never receive them unless you separately agree to the raw health data level described below. We list them here because Washington’s law counts reading and working from health data as collecting it, even when nothing leaves your phone.

Step counts, read on your device. With your permission, Dreamerie also reads your step counts from Apple Health, around the times you were awake in a night, when you open that night in Your nights. The app uses them on your device for one thing, to know whether you got up. It does not save them, show them, or write them to its logs. In the App Store app and in Dreamerie Beta, we never receive them: no testing program uploads them, and the raw health data level below does not include them. In Dreamerie Beta, whether they showed you got up can reach us in diagnostics logs you choose to send. We list them here for the same reason as your sleep records.

Your answers in Your nights. For a time you were awake, Your nights can ask Did you get up? If you answer, Dreamerie saves your answer, Yes or No, with that time, on your device. It is left out of your iCloud backup, and Clear all my data erases it. In the App Store app, the app never uploads it and we never receive it. In Dreamerie Beta, the app never uploads it either; it reaches us only in diagnostics logs you choose to send. We list it here because the time it is saved with is worked out from your sleep records.

What it is for. Timing the fade, offering to pick up where you fell asleep, and showing you your nights. Step counts are for one thing only, knowing whether you got up. Never advertising, and in the App Store app, never research.

What we never collect. No name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access, and no advertising identifier. We never track where you are: no GPS, no geofence, nothing that follows you. Joining Product Tuning, the testing program described below, does mean telling us your country, and your state if you are in the United States, because it is not open everywhere, and each night’s summary carries your device’s time zone.

What we keep anonymous. The searches, usage tallies and show flags described in our Privacy Policy carry no identifier and cannot be connected to you. We keep them only in that form, and we will not try to connect them to anyone.

Raw health data, from testers who choose to share it. Dreamerie Beta, our TestFlight app, has an invitation-only testing program, Product Tuning. Some invitations to it open a further level, where a tester’s raw health data is uploaded to our server and stored: heart rate, heart-rate variability, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, and sleep stages, with the times they were recorded. It is off until the tester agrees to it on its own screen, which carries its own notice, and joining Product Tuning does not turn it on. It can be turned off on its own at any time, which deletes the readings we hold. The Testing Program Privacy Notice has the details.

Nightly summaries, from Product Tuning participants. With Health access on, a participant’s device uploads a short summary of each night, computed on the device.

Event timings, from testers who opt into Beta diagnostics. These carry no health readings. We list them because the app is used at night, so when events happen can suggest when you sleep.

What the data from Product Tuning and Beta diagnostics is for. Choosing which shows we keep for sleep, tuning defaults such as when audio fades, and fixing nights where playback failed. Never medical research, never advertising.

Where it comes from

Nothing comes from a data broker, an advertising network, or any other outside source.

What we share

No categories. We share no consumer health data at all. In the App Store app, it never leaves your device, so no company, including the ones that run our servers, ever handles it. For what testers share with us, two companies handle it on our behalf and are processors under the Act, not third parties: Railway hosts our server and database in the United States, and Cloudflare hosts this site and carries our traffic. Neither may use what it holds for its own purposes.

Third parties and affiliates we share with

None. Forge8 LLC has no parent, subsidiaries, or affiliates, and has never shared consumer health data outside the two processors above. If that changes we will name the recipient here and ask your consent first.

We do not sell consumer health data

We never have and we will not. The Act counts an exchange for other valuable consideration as a sale too, so we will not trade health data for services, for access, or for anything else of value.

Your rights, and how to use them

Withdraw your consent. Turn off Apple Health in Dreamerie’s Settings, or remove Dreamerie’s access in your iPhone’s Settings under Privacy & Security, then Health. Either stops the app reading your sleep records and your steps from then on. In Dreamerie Beta, anything you opted into can be left from inside the app, immediately, and each thing you opted into is left on its own. Leaving stops future collection, deletes what we hold for it, and is as easy as joining. Raw health data has its own off switch at Settings → Raw overnight readings → Turn off and delete the readings, which stops that level and deletes the readings we hold without ending the rest of your participation.

Delete your data. Settings → Clear all my data erases everything the app worked out from your sleep records on your device, including your Yes and No answers in Your nights. In the App Store app, we hold nothing on our servers to delete. In Dreamerie Beta, Clear all my data also deletes what our server holds for your device and retires its identifier. Deletion is immediate and reaches our backups within six days. You can also ask by email. Deleting the app retires your identifier the next time Dreamerie Beta runs on this device. Anything an opt-in program holds for it is erased then, or after 12 months of inactivity, whichever comes first. To erase it right away, use Clear all my data before deleting the app. Your records in Apple Health belong to you, and Dreamerie never changes them.

Confirm and access. Email and we will confirm whether we hold anything and send you a copy of what we hold, along with the list of third parties and affiliates it went to, which is empty. We answer within 15 days, and no account is needed.

In Dreamerie Beta, include the Device ID from **Settings → About** so we can find your data; we will ask you to confirm an access request from that device.

Appeal. If we decline, we will say why in writing. Reply, and we will answer within 30 days. If we deny the appeal you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.

Changes to this policy

If we want to collect a category this page does not list, or use one for a new purpose, we will publish the change here and ask your consent first. Material changes raise the version number above.
