Dreamerie plays sleep-oriented audio designed to run through the night: curated podcasts, any shows you add, and ambient sound. 0.6 is the privacy build: nothing about you leaves your phone unless you say so. Here is what to expect, and what we would love you to try.
0.6 retires every 0.5 tester identity and program, so we are asking everyone to start clean.
What to do
What happens when you do. Your saved shows, favorites and settings on this phone are erased. Any 0.5 program you were in is left. Everything our server held for your old identity is deleted. The app starts over with a new device ID. Note down any show you want to add back before you tap.
Why it matters. Until you do this, the app will refuse to let you join any tester program. Deleting and reinstalling the app is not a substitute; that keeps the old identity.
This build is about trust. Dreamerie is built so that the answer to "what does it know about me?" is nothing, unless you choose otherwise. In plain terms:
The first open is a short, quiet setup. You will hear a few trailers (little audio previews of the kinds of shows Dreamerie plays). Linger on ones that are interesting, swipe past ones that are not. There are no wrong answers; This onboarding flow is how the app gets a first sense of your taste.
Setup ends at the Library. The big card at the top is tonight's suggestion. When you are in bed, all you have to do is tap Start tonight and put the phone down. Dreamerie plays through the night on its own: when a show ends it takes a quiet breath (ambient audio), then moves to the next pick. Lock the screen; the audio keeps going. You can adjust playback volume and pause playback. Siri should do the same.
Our curated pick is a perfectly good way to start. But if there is a show you really enjoy, choose that instead and start the night with it. Your pick beats ours.
The Library comes stocked with shows we have picked for sleep. Search looks there first. If what you want is not in it, tap Search deeper and Dreamerie reaches the open podcast universe, the same shows any podcast app can play.
Open a show and tap an episode to hear a moment of it before committing. Add to My Shows puts it in your Library, and tonight starts with your pick.
Now Playing is built for a nightstand: dim, calm, and minimal. The moon icon opens the sleep timer: pick a duration, let the night end after the current show, or choose Auto. With Apple Health on, Auto learns when you typically fall asleep and fades the audio at that point; until it has about seven nights to learn from, it fades after 90 minutes. What it learns stays on your phone.
The little flag is the most useful button in the app for us. A show too loud, too ad-stuffed, or just not sleep material? Flag it. It takes two taps and goes straight to our review queue.
When you wake up, slide to end the night.
In the morning, open Settings, then Your nights. It shows what you listened to each night and when the audio stopped. If Apple Health is on, it also shows your hypnogram, your sleep stages through the night, laid over what was playing. Nothing there is sent to us.
The easiest way to send feedback is a screenshot. On a TestFlight build, take a screenshot of whatever looks wrong or confusing, tap the share button, and then the Share Beta Feedback button. This will send your report to Apple TestFlight. Add a note and send; it reaches us with your device details attached.
For anything you cannot screenshot, plain words are great too: TestFlight's own feedback box, or just message us.
The app keeps a detailed log of what it played and how it sounded for the last 7 nights on your phone. It holds no health readings. When you tell us a night sounded wrong, this is the file that lets us find out why.
